A Silver Avalanche is a term used to describe a large number of employees who retire from a company at the same time. The term is typically used to refer to a situation where a large percentage of the company’s workforce is made up of older, experienced employees who are retiring, often taking valuable institutional knowledge with them. The term is often used to describe situations where a company has not adequately planned for the retirement of its employees, and is left with a lack of experienced personnel.
